Did I really say that..?

We take a child each in the mornings; normally the toddler for me to prevent nerve grating screaming first thing and baby for him indoors. Normally toddler wakes first (naturally). This morning, however, roles reversed. I got a teensy lie in. The day was starting well.

Until I went downstairs with her, into the living room to be hit with a waft of acrid, toxic ahem 'air' eminating from the only man in the room. Now I'm not casting aspersions but this is not uncommon and I normally just complain loudly then go and make 'horridge' with the toddler. But given the unusual lie in I had it was about 7.30 and therefore only 30 minutes till our lovely nanny arrived. (We are not loaded, nurseries round here are gold plated).

So I said:

"Please make sure you stop farting in time for the air to clear before the Nanny arrives". No irony, sarcasm or complaint. Just a statement of fact. Wow what a difference 7 years makes.

Poor girl already has to see him in his dressing gown most mornings, and our house is about as far from Elle Deco as it comes. Coupled with the standard issue Eau de Nappy, but I think being subjected to 'man smells' is just too much for anyone to deal with first thing.

Clearly him indoors has decided to no longer read this blog as it created too many 'disagreements'. I sincerely hope he has stuck to this or I may well be eating MORE sodding humble pie over the weekend...

Happy friday!
