Right now, I am writing this watching a rerun of Fools and Horses on G.O.L.D (so that'll double their viewing figures then), whilst Mr Mummys Life does his best impersonation of a very large animal say an elephant or a maybe a dinosaur, in labour. Reaching transition. Without the actions, but very much with the noise.
He went to a football match this afternoon, got drunk (clearly), pretended he wasn't (why do they always do that when it is patently obvious from the fancy footwork, closey eyes and jolly disposition that they've had a skinful?). So he's fallen asleep on the sofa with the cat for a pillow. I might add the TV choice was his, but Saturday night telly being the carcrash it is I haven't turned over.
You know what the best news is though? I get to write this, and actually read a few of my favourite blogs without interruption!
I need a peaceful evening, after last night's celebrations (shortly I will begin the struggle to wake the beast and manouvre him upstairs, that's fun). Sadly my children don't show preferential treatment to Mummy when she has a hangover. The day was a rather obscure form of torture, but the toddler was on top form and it's amazing how laughter can get you through the day.
I really can't complain.
Had minimal success on the potty training today. She seems to have gone off it in a big way. Everyone seems to agree that you shouldn't make a big deal of it if they don't want to use it, in this case the toddler is almost crying at the sight of it. So I'm leaving it for a bit. I'm just a total wimp really but I don't like seeing her upset either.
And now the noise is SO LOUD, I am going to have to go into another room. So goodnight all.
ps: Thankyou everyone for your lovely comments last night. So good to have the house sorted.
xx
