Help for Haiti

I'm not overly political, although I do have opinions (and I like Nick Clegg so much more after his Gina Ford comments..), and although Gordon Brown might have trouble running a piss up in a brewery I do like the fact he gave women more maternity leave (but I have diminishing faith in his ability to get us out of debt).

The point is my blog is not a virtual speakers corner (unless it involves smug celebrities) and I wouldn't assume I had any power to persuade you to actually do anything different. But sometimes things happen and you have to get on your soap box . The earthquake in Haiti is one such thing.

Natural disasters happen, some greater than others, but there's nothing that moves me so much as pictures of tiny children alone and scared with no mum or dad to tell them it's going to be okay.
