High Five!

Being new to this I am delighted to say I've been tagged(my limited knowledge of the 'blogosphere' tells me this is quite nice) by the lovely hearth-mother who has a very good blog. So my highlights of 2009:

1. Having daughter no.2 was a truely magical time. She was 9 days late, but after a fair bit of gardening and walking on all fours all day (to the rather quiet amusement of my father who was with me) she decided the time was right. Within 3 hours she arrived in the birthing pool (just!) at the Birth Centre (a wonderful place, which nearly broke us financially but hey what price a decent birth). She was perfect, is still perfect and I am completely smitten with her.

2. 'Mummy cubble!' when those words came out of no.1's mouth my heart melted and I actually cried. Truely. I was insanely happy.

3. Meeting Justine, Charlie, Emma, Lisa and Helen. A group of wonderful girls who all had babies around the same time as me with no.2. I think we hold the record for fastest-made-brilliant friendship! They are supportive, funny and honest and we get on like a house on fire. Fortunately our toddlers do too thank god.

4. One of my lovely big sisters finally tieing the knot with her bloke. They make the perfect couple, run a great pub in Kent (won Camra pub of year - shameless plug but they deserve it) and know how to put on a good party. The girls had a great time, lots of attention and the toddler running around with her cousins. The sun shone, everyone was happy and him indoors and I reminisced about our perfect day. Ahhh.

5. Bit selfish this one, but finally getting fit has made me feel good about myself. I've shifted that stubborn half stone left over from no.1, a way to go but at least it's finally going. Okay so I've been doing crazy exercise on the common in all weathers (the snow last night actually) with the BMF boys but God it's been worth it. I have energy at long bloody last (but not at 6am, nothing will make that better).

I think the done thing is to tag some other blogs (5 seems like a good number) I like so here goes and forgive me if I've done that wrong (or if you've already had this one)!

xx
