Empathy & Plum Baby food giveaway

Afternoon all.  I have just returned from a trip to Milton Keynes to see a client.  Three hours of my life I'll never get back.

It was pretty uneventful except on the way up.  There was a lady with 3 small boys, one can't have been more than 12 months or so, another about 2ish and one I'd put at 4 max.  Quite aside from the fact she had valiantly decided to take them on the train ON HER OWN (which meant I was in awe from the start), she seemed calm, happy and not at all flustered.

She was having trouble removing the youngest from the pram, whilst trying to get the other two to sit down.  Which meant the pram was blocking the corridor which meant a lot of huffing and puffing from angry young men in suits.  It was a Phil & Teds, one I'm rather familiar with so I offered to help her collapse it.  I'm not sure I helped much in the end as it was all a bit awkward in the small space, but I did say rather loudly how challenging it is travelling with small children and how people do have to learn to be PATIENT.

The people behind me took the hint and shut up about the wait.  In fact 2 of them left the carriage altogether. Result.

I had real empathy for this lady.  She was lovely and the whole journey she happily chatted to her kids, took them to the loo about 3 times, got them drinks, pointed out cows, sheep, lakes, canal boats and all sorts.  It reminded me of times you are just in full on distraction mode.  Pointing out anything to keep them from losing it.  "Oh look, there's a nuclear power plant, how lovely!"

Plum Baby food giveaway
Recently I blogged a review of Plum Baby food.  Lots of yummy meals and snacks for babies and toddlers.  The type of thing to have on stand by for when you just don't have time to make it yourself (do you ever??) or the MIL comes to visit and you need to pretend you made it yourself.

Well the folks over at Plum Baby have given me one month’s supply of baby food, nibbles and treats to give to one of you lovely people who read my blog.
