The Gallery: Self portrait - a bit late!

So I wasn't going to do this because frankly I couldn't imagine that anyone would really want to see a picture of me, and actually I did one for Tara's previous prompt 'Me'.

But after seeing lots of soul searching and agonising on Twitter about this of the 'oh no this is a really tough one, what shall i do?' type I just though 'f**k it it's not tough it's just a picture of myself'.  I don't mind having my picture taken, although I'd rather it was taken from above to minimise the double chins and I'd rather it wasn't taken straight after birth as I look pretty gross, and I'd rather it was a digital camera so I can delete it.  but aside from that, you know I'm fine with it.

For a while my husband took lots of pictures of me, mainly on honeymoon and with the babies but he doesn't do that anymore.  Wonder why.

As you will know from yesterday's post, taking care of my appearance isn't a great priority for me.  I have the same haircut as I have had for many many years (and now it's the same as my toddler), just like Alison from Deerbaby.

So anyway here goes, this one was taken at Eliza's (the toddler's) christening, I was clearly very tickled about something.  I like it mainly because I'm very happy and it's a very typical Eliza-as-a-baby expression.  My husband is clearly battling to hang on to her as she wanted to escape!

And this one was taken in NY on top of the Rockerfeller building, rather windswept, when I just pregnant with Tilly (the baby) and I was staying with my best mate Jonathan, who I miss very much as he's now in Singapore.  Damn him.  (You may remember the Bonnie Tyler post that featured him. )

So there you go.  Me.

By the way, have LOVED seeing all the people behind the blogs this week.  Well done Tara!
