Unashamed canvassing

So here's a post I was hoping to be writing.

Thanks to you wonderful people who read my blog, it's been shortlisted in The Mads (Mum & Dad blogger awards), for Best Looking Blog.  Ok so I didn't actually create my very pretty header and background;  I have Adina Conisceac and Violet Posy to thank for that, but it's based on my two girls so I'm still really really happy!!

Being such a complete moron I can't seem to find out what the prize is, but recognition is good enough for me.  I am now up against some other very lovely looking blogs so it's all down to the votes I get from you now as to whether or not I win.

In the spirit of electioneering I can promise you this:

- My blog will always be pretty.  I love pretty things.
- My blog content most definately won't always be pretty.  I will always speak my mind.
- It won't change me.  I'll still look like a bag of shite tied up with a piece of string, but that's okay because I can hide behind my pretty blog and my girls are very pretty too.

There.  Go on vote for It's a Mummy's Life and make a tired Mummy very happy. 

Actually the amount of money my company's spending of bloody Eurostar lately, I should be able to give all voters a free ticket to Paris (nb: that was just speculation and fantasy, very very unlikely to happen..)
