It's a funny thing isn't it this blogging game.  You can talk about parenting, you can talk about being a wife and mother and talk about your children and your failings and struggles.  It's a great medium to offload the contents of your head and a wonderful way to see you aren't alone in your troubles.  There's real support in this community.

But if you voice an opinion about a controversial subject, an opinion only, stated clearly to be so, you have to accept that at best people won't always agree with you which is natural.  At worst, you might offend people.  I don't want to do that.  I never intended to do that with this blog, but I am honest and have never apologised for that.  The point is I do tend to post whatever's on my mind at the time.  I'm not too confined by the Mummy Blog label (despite the blog's title and picture).

It's a shame to judge an entire blog and its author by one post.  You see in 294 posts, I have written approximately 4 about a celebrity.  And it is a comment on our culture that those are the posts that seem to stir up the most diverse opinions and the ones that stick to me like glue.

Anyway I'm going to take the weekend 'off', I need some time out as they say.
