*edited version, now back at a normal computer*
What a relief to know that, according to research from Essex University, I have not done developmental damage to my girls by returning to work within the first years of their lives.
However interestingly this is only because i have good childcare (I think by good you are intended to read consistent) and the damage is offset by that.
It was less reassuring to read that according to UNICEF mothers returning to work in the first year are "gambling" with their child's development.
Hmmmm. I'll leave you to imagine how this made me feel given my state of mind over the weekend. It brought to mind another article this morning about how stress is toxic and highly damaging to health. No shit.
Still I can always buoy myself up by reading about a new book called Au Pair revealing the views that most au pairs have for their employers as lazy and pretty crap really.
Oh and by the way for those that don't know me. Take this with a HEAVY dose of sarcasm. Please.
Happy Monday all!
Ps sorry for lack of links to these fascinating articles but I'm blogging from my iPhone on a train to Peterborough whilst I work for a living and my kids struggle to develop without me.
