I want breakfast in bed

No not me. Well actually of course I'd like breakfast in bed but the chances of it ever happening, at least for the next 15 years I guess are pretty remote.  Actually having said that him indoors brought me pancakes and tea in bed on Sunday morning.

Anyway I digress.

The point of this ramble is this.

This morning the conversation with my eldest daughter went like this.

"Mummy I want my breakfast in your bed this morning."

"Er, no Eliza we have breakfast in the kitchen."

"But I want it IN YOUR BED."

"What would you like for breakfast?"  trying to move the conversation on.

"Weetabix in a grown up bowl."

"Ok"

"With a flower from the garden on the side on a tray. In your bed."

Jolly good. This child will certainly be on the stage.

Tilly meanwhile had to have her breakfast on my lap, in fact she had to do everything this morning whilst physically attached to me.  Or rather I had to do everything.  Getting one's knickers and bra on whilst holding a 19 month old child in one arm is something of a challenge.  Another one to add to my list of achievements I never thought I'd have cause to make.

The nanny's sick today so I have an enforced working from home day.  Better get on with it then I suppose.
