Positive thinking

Now that both my children have given up their dummies I clearly think I am supermum if not in fact superhuman. The fact that it was basically my husband that made me do it is beside the point. I am taking credit.

So now that I think I have some ability at being a parent I am working hard to get this positive vibe to rub off on other areas of my life.

I am signed up to do a 1/2 marathon in March.  Thanks to the Illa Sport I can run in the great outdoors with a bit more security. I have also joined the local gym near work to use the running machine as I still wouldn’t run in the dark I’m not quite that stupid. But the Illa Sport is a pedometer with a rape alarm built in. What more could you need? (aside from bionic legs maybe).

I have been following the Free Mum to Mumpreneur e-course which I have been massively inspired by, I would really recommend you sign up for it by clicking on this link From Mum to Mumpreneur in a Month – Join the FREE eCourse I’ll definitely be investing in the new online training programme too which I’m told will be very affordable, when it launches on 17th January. I’ll post details here on the blog so you can sign up if you want. (I have to be completely honest and say the word mumpreneur makes me feel a bit queasy but I love what Erica and Antonia are doing despite that!)

I will have finished all the edits on my first novel by the end of January and then I will be submitting it to agents.  So please wish me virtual luck with that as I try and remain positive through that (brutal) process.

My little girls continue to amaze, delight, confuse and confound me with their development and general ability to make me laugh (and sometimes cry). I’m looking forward to another year of being their mummy.

I am really enjoying contributing to http://www.reallykidfriendly.com/ and hope you’ll go and take a look – it’s a brilliantly conceived website with local listings of places that are, well, really kid friendly.

A bit of a splurge of smug positivity but I just wanted to say all that.

Normal business will resume tomorrow (or not depending on how much sleep I get.)
